Bob Peterson, a Fort Collins, Colorado-based remodeler and homebuilder with more than 40 years of experience in the construction field, was elected 2025 second vice chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) during the association’s International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
According to NAHB, Peterson is the founder of Associates in Building + Design, Ltd. (ABD), a company he started in May 1990 that specializes in custom homes and high-end remodeling. Peterson’s daughters, Heather Schreiner and Alison Johnson, now own and manage ABD, where he serves as a consultant.
“Our focus this year will be working with policymakers to ease burdensome regulations that needlessly raise housing and remodeling costs,” said Peterson. “We will also seek to keep housing a top national priority and work with officials at all levels of government to ease the barriers that hinder the construction of new homes and apartments.”
